Ceiling Designed and Sculpted by Paul Griffin and his team

The ceiling is a mixture of Rocco, with a bit of Neo Classical and my own style. I wanted the ceiling to have the same flow as a historic ceiling but with my own style. Some of the pieces in this ceiling would not have been possible to do two or three hundred years ago. We push the boundaries on this ceiling to make the plasterwork more three dimensional.

When designing and sculpting this ceiling I did keep true to some of the techniques that would have been used 300 years ago, for instance there are over 2500 small balls made and fitted individually in the Cornice. We could have just made a strip of 100 balls and fitted 25 strips, but I wanted everything to look the same but be a small bit different. The frieze is also individual pieces.
