Fruit, Leaves and Flowers in multicoloured Scagliola
Scagliola
"Scagliola is one of the most striking craft materials used in decoration. It comes from the hands of a skilled craftsperson who with plaster, glue and pigments create an infinite number of colours and patterns.
Scagliola was described by Vitruvius in the first century BC, and its revival was a later achievement of the Renaissance when Scagliola technique came into fashion in Tuscany and subsequently can be seen in many of the Great Palaces around Europe.
As well as Paul Griffin's unique designs we are also happy to work with a client to Design and Sculpt a special Sculpture for them."
